I got the job that I really wanted after waiting for such a long time. It's sports and media related. I am a very happy girl right now and it is a great end to year 2011. Party time!! *throws confetti*

Reflecting on how 2011 was:

I actually thought 2011 was a pretty great year considering the fact that I managed to complete my masters, I got together with him, I travelled quite a lot, and I managed to get a job right before the year ends.

2012 Resolutions:

1: Be a better person. Less dramatic, Not overreacting over everything single thing, Be braver, and be more matured in handling things

2: Improve my driving skills.

3: Tone up my body and build up more muscles. (Have already started this. Hopefully I'll see the results real soon)

4: Keep a reasonable amount of money in my bank every single month after getting my pay check.

5: Try to visit my family back in Johor more often.

6: Be more organised and try to learn as much as I can in terms of work and life.

7: Drink less and keep healthy.

8: Last but not least. Be a happier person. I really have a lot to be thankful for =)

working life

I started working but decided to quit before signing the official contract. If it wasn't for the fact that the job does not excite me and I am not going to learn much just flipping through magazines and typing information on the magazine into the system, I would have continued.
I have been carefully selecting this time round. Went for a couple of interviews within these few weeks. Hopefully I'll get some good news soon. I realised that it's not just about having a job but to work in a good reputable company and have decent salary as well. That's just how the world works. Your relatives and friends would ask you and compare you with what they have.

Other than that, life's treating me pretty well. I have already moved into booger's place, one of my best friend is getting married real soon, my car is finally here, Selina's enjoying her work and the boyfriend's treating me well (It's funny how our relationship works. We fight over the smallest and weirdest stuff but we just laugh it off after that -_-").
Went to one of the best restaurants I have been to in KL last weekend for our "once in a while" dinner night. It's called NeroVivo and boy the food there sure is good! It's apparently KL's best restaurant in 2009-2010 and 2nd in 2011.

Went to Putrajaya to walk and drive around. hahaha cheesy but it was fun and that place is beautiful!

I also went for two shows at the KL convention centre. (Kings and Queen of asia comedy 2 and Stomp). Both are good but STOMP WAS AMAZING! It's a must watch.

Just booked my flight tickets. Will be travelling to Australia with my mum and sister. I might drop by Melbourne to visit my friends. So yay! I'm excited! =D

I had a pretty long conversation with one of my cousins who watched me grow up. He is one of the closest to all of us. He mentioned that finding jobs shouldn't be all about earning money if you have a good family background. It should be about finding things that you are passionate and really enjoy doing because life is short. I do agree to a certain extend but I guess earning and spending your own hard earned money will give you more of a sense of satisfaction.

It has been two months since I came back to Malaysia and I sure did and seen a lot. It gets a little boring at times. Well, can't be going out every single day. I am just taking one step at a time. Carefully selecting and applying for more jobs. Hopefully there will be something good that comes along. I am good because my dad have been patient and supporting me all the way.

Hopefully the boyfriend will get a great job too =)

Have been watching a lot of E Entertainment programs. I practically can memorise their show times -_-". They have been playing the same thing over and over again *blows hair*. I feel like a bimbo watching e, chic flicks and all the beauty shows. It keeps me occupied I guess.

I am also turning into an auntie. Have been cooking a lot at home. My sister called me a suri rumah haha.

Feeling down

I was feeling pretty down for the past few days because of the whole job hunting thing. There were those who were trying to put me down with all the negative remarks. I already mentioned that I turned down jobs for various good reasons!

Nothing really is that easy huh? Dealing with the people around you and all.

Anyway, felt much better after talking to Lex. He knows the whole process of getting a job and all.

So yay ! thanks :)

I now know more on what to expect and how I should deal with things in a better way.

I should't rush things. Furthermore, I have only been back from Australia for only a month plus.

The boyfriend's good too. Listening to all my rants *evil smile*.

Unrelated note,

My mum has been working as a part time teacher for an American syllabus school and it really feels nice listening to all her stories on the kids she teaches there and the things she encountered while teaching them. I am happy for her that she enjoys what she does and it keeps her occupied knowing that she wasn't very keen on the idea of just staying at home.

This trip was all about trying to spend as much time as I can with all of them before I actually start work and move up to Kuala Lumpur. It's been quite fun. I'm watching different films with Christina almost every single day. Speaking of films. I just recently watched "Case 39". I'm not sure why the rating is low but I did enjoyed watching the film. I guess what made it worked was it did have that "scare factor".

Oh yeah and I love the proposal too! In my opinion it's one of the funniest from the romance/comedy genre. It's nice to watch for a good laugh and if your looking for something that doesn't requires much brain cells.

There's not many great films out in the cinemas at the moment besides Contagion. It's one of the best epidemic/pandemic kind of films from the good plot, acting and cast.

So yeah.

Gallo is having sales now and they just launched their new collection that contains really pretty designs. For some reason, the designer behind this brand never fail to come up with ideas that attracts people. This time round, it is their autumn/winter collection that caught my eyes. Have to save up some money to get some pretty clothes (= .

To be honest, there's really nothing much to blog about these days considering the fact that I am not doing much besides bumming around. Went back to KL AGAIN for yet another interview. This time round was for Gagan ( The company that manages Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Pull and Bear) . I would love to work there if it wasn't for the crazy long hours. Imagine working from Monday to Sunday 10am-10.30pm. I even have to work during the public holidays). It really is fine if they pay well but they don't. So yeah, turned down another job. I hope that I won't be regretting this. *sigh* I'm back at square one. Jobless girl.

I really don't want to moan and groan about all of these but it really is quite annoying because people out there do ask me if I have already found a job. It's not about being able to find a job but to find something that I can picture myself doing. I have my own reasons for turning down some of the companies that offered me jobs.

On a lighter note,

In between the trip, I went for the Authur's day event which was quite a let down after hearing many good reviews on the previous ones. The location was bad and the performances was not that great as well. Ok lets just say that I am also not a big fan of outdoor events .

I'm quite comfortable with what I have and the people I hang out with at the moment. Not complaining because everyone is treating me well. I can be stubborn or a little sensitive at times but I mean no harm. haha It's probably just the usual "pms-ing" period that I do strange things pfft. I usually have mood swings when my stomach don't feel that well.

Life and job seeking

My whole trip to KL was an eye opening one. It was the different kinds of job interviews and the people I met or meet up with that made me feel like I have experienced so much within just a short three weeks time

I went for the longest interview which lasted for a whole day. The wait for each session was quite torturous. I was quite nervous for this one because it is a big international company. Spoke to so many people on that day itself and learnt a lot. I am quite proud of myself for being able to last until the final round. I am keeping my fingers crossed on getting the job. I have gone for various interviews for different kind of companies. I must say that what excites me the most would have to be the retail industry. The fashion industry is what I have always wanted to get myself into ever since I was a little girl. Fashion, designing and colours makes me happy. What makes it difficult to pursue this career would have to be my mum being very sceptical about it. She talks to me about working for major companies in the IT or media industry. My dad did not say much about it but deep inside, I know that he really wants me to look for something big.

Having said that. I am still going to go for what I feel is best for me.

I have learnt a lot from all the interviews that I went for and meeting different kinds of people. There are plenty of people out there with excellent academic records but I guess at the end of the day, it really is about how people present themselves and how they impress the interviewers. I think that having the passion and being able to convince the interviewers that you are willing to dedicate time and learn is important.

Getting used to

I'm still getting used to being back here for a long period of time. Things and the people sure have changed quite a lot. Coming back home feels good but I really am trying to get used to these changes. I miss how I used to be close to some of my friends. It feels like they have drifted further away from me. I guess this is how life works. Nothing stays the same forever.

The parents have been pestering me with the whole job hunting thing. Not that I am not applying and going for interviews. I am just waiting for the job that I could foresee myself doing and would feel passionate about. Hopefully that will come along soon.

Other than that, everything has been great. I am spending most of my time with the family, friends and the mister.

Baby Josh and Christina have both been such darlings to me when I am back at home (Cutest duo ever!) It feels nice to just play and bond with the both of them.

I am with long legs most of the time. The both of us have always been really close since young. I'm glad that things are looking real good for her. Daddy and mummy have also been pampering me and boy I sure am feeling all the love at home.

It's also great to see Booger again. She's already a working woman. It's back to us just like old times sharing everything in the world.

Relationship's doing great as well. *coughs* besides getting bullied most of the time hoho.

One Month

It just hit me that June is ending real soon and July is on it's way. It also simple means that I am flying back home to Malaysia and the end of my Melbourne journey.

I'm having mixed feelings about this because of the life I built here for the past few years but at the same time I feel relieved that I will be back home in the arms of my love ones.

So anyway, it's packing time for me again since I am done with masters and all. Sigh the hassle of packing pfft. Yeah it's my own fault since I was the one who bought all the stuff in the room.

haha My dad used to complain how much of stuff we actually have at home. No amount of extra storage space could hold all the items we have so he gave up -_-".

Been hanging out with my classmates quite often. I am going to miss them so much especially Violet. She's like a sister to me.

Always nagging knowing that I fall sick so easily.

We've been through quite a lot throughout my Masters program and I'm thankful for that. (: She's coming to Malaysia to visit me!! so yay!

Feels like I'm writing a farewell post pfft. Being all dramatic again.

Unrelated note, I did something that I don't usually do. Lined up just to shop at the opening of Zara. haha uh yeah. The brat actually lines up to get into a shop -_-"

Did not buy a lot that day because I got fed up with the queues I had to go through (Changing room etc..)

It used to be me and my sister going in and out of Zara with our purchases back at Malaysia. Can't wait to shop with both my sisters again! They are pretty much the only people who enjoys shopping as much as I do without complaining.

I don't really like it when there's judgements or complains.

One of my favourite thing to do would have to be reading food blogs and watching food related shows. Besides the usual Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and Nigela Lawson, I have been watching Heston Blumenthal's shows. Love his concept of combining and science and food together. Got to respect this guy for owning a restaurant that was the best in the world in year 2005 and best in the UK in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Heard that his restaurant receives about 30000 calls a days for reservations.

He has got some pretty wacky ideas for food by they certainly are very interesting. You can watch some of the videos from his channel on youtube. Check out "Feast". Love it!

Have been busy with all the exploring and keeping my friend company while she was here the past few days. It was quite disastrous that most flights from the Melbourne airport were cancelled due to ashes from the volcano eruption in Chile. I had fun especially after finishing Masters. I needed company as well because everyone is busy at the moment with exams and assignments. She is pretty much the only one who enjoys exploring and walking around random places as much as I do. Can't wait to visit Sydney as well to try out all the good food!

While Ching Yee was here, we had a chance to check out the TutanKhamun exhibition at the Melbourne Museum. I have to say that the exhibition did not live up to expectations. It's not too bad but it wasn't great especially with the price you pay to enter the exhibition.

They certainly did put on effort for the whole Egyptian concept with music and it was well organised.

I also had my first public karaoke session at Hollywood Karaoke's lounge. Was quite shy at first but it turned out to be fun. We had like people coming in to join us after their partying session and the bouncers joined us as well. -____-" This bunch of Italian guys requested for Andrea Bocelli because they did not know many of the songs there. Oh well, we had fun with all the singing and dancing! (:

I shop, I watch plenty of films or Television series, I read magazines, news or books, I check out entertainment or fashion blogs etc. There is just so much to do! It's really nice to be able to do things at my own pace (:

Supposed to be out today (I was out) but my outing was cut short because of a silly mistake I made. Had this huge bowl of vanilla ice cream and now I am suffering the consequences. Just to be safe, I decided to stay at home. Who knows, maybe karaoke tonight. Hopefully I will be fine by then .

I rewarded myself with an ebook reader. I have been thinking about getting one for quite some time. Ipad's good but I wanted something just for reading. What is the point of having an Ipad anyway. You bring it around to surf the internet, check mails and play games? What elese?

You can do all of that at home or on your phone. What is the whole point of having an extra device when it works the same as the rest of the devices you have. Call me old fashion but I find it quite pointless. It is going to make you a little less sociable.

I was talking to a friend about how I find it funny that people actually line up and wait for devices. Why can't people just wait a little longer to get the same thing than to line up for hours just to be the first few to get them -__-" .

I wanted an ebook reader because I can't keep too many books. Was looking through all the stuff that I have and it's crazy! I need to save some space and it would definitely help me in many ways. (:

The Liz Lisa lace and rose collection is driving me nuts. I'm not really talking about their clothes but more of their pillows, bath towels, stationeries and all the other goodies.

It's a really popular Japanese brand that was featured on Vivi magazines. I knew about this brand quite some time ago but never really thought of buying anything from there.

Not much of a Gyaru/(Japanese) fashion person.

They sell things that are nice to look at but I would honestly prefer to see them on furnitures instead.

Me and Selina had plans on decorating our renovated room with the theme of lace and roses.

The upcoming Golden Melody Awards (The Chinese industry's version of Grammy Awards) features three of my all time favourite male singers. Jay Chou for Shuo le zai jian, Lee Hom for Xu yao ren pei and JJ Lin for She says.

To be honest, out of all of them, my favourite would have to me JJLin. He is my biggest inspiration when it comes to singing Mandarin songs. This Singaporean guy has a very unique and clear voice. His vocal ability is amazing! Technical wise, he can pull of all sorts of keys and techniques and that is what I really love about him. Very versatile singer who composes, write his own lyrics, produces his own videos and plays musical instruments.

Jay and Lee Hom are both good as well but not the best in terms of vocal abilities.

The Asian music market is very different as compared to the English one.

Most mandarin songs sounds not as vocally challenging as English songs but let me tell you, it is not easy at all!

If your really good at singing English songs, you might find it difficult to sing mandarin songs. Mandarin songs are more about controlling and singing with a clear voice. English songs are more of technical abilities (divas like Mariah, Christina, Beyonce, and Celine Dion etc).

I had high tea today at Chimmy's (Apparently this is the best bakery in Victoria 2010/2011). It was crazy. Too much of pastries for just two people. The pastries were pretty good besides the macarons. Have to say that Sofitel's high tea is so much better than this! I'm going to try out Windsor someday (:

I'm forcing myself to get some programming work done at the moment but it's getting dreadful thanks to all the compiler errors. More errors appeared after I added on some new stuff on my program.

The lecturers delayed this assignment's deadline and added on more work for us. Now I have to do an extra report and put in more features on the program. Killmeplease......

Was so looking forward to finishing everything today but looks like it's not going to happen yet.

It's really unfair that they could just change the deadline and add on extra workload for the students as they wish without following the unit guide. What is the whole point of having a course structure then?

eeee I'm so annoyed!

To make matter worst, my medication is not helping me. Looks like I have to make an appointment to go to the specialist instead.

I really should not overly dramatise things though. It's not as bad as it sounded. I am being such a drama queen. *giggles*

Daddy have been calling me almost every single day to talk to me and it really makes me feel happy. Hearing him talk about his trip & home, sending me pictures of the family and listening to me rant about things makes me feel lucky and it motivates me.

Unrelated note: I really need to gain some weight. My clothes does not fit any more! Size S is too big for me :( .

Future plans

Papa Ng called me the other day. Besides the usual "How are you? and are you coping well?", he asked me about my future plans after graduation and it took me quite some time to respond to that. Deep inside, I already made some plans based on what I could potentially be doing and where would be the best place for me to start out on.

Honestly speaking, the chances of me working and staying at KL would be slim. This has nothing to do with being comfortable or what I truthfully want. It is more of a "what is good for me in terms of money and career wise". I'm thinking of Singapore. The parents have been talking about me working there since forever but I did not put that idea in my head before this. Not until recently when I am about to finish what I set out to do at the beginning.

I can't help thinking that time is passing by far too quickly that I barely have time to sit down and actually plan on what I am going to do next. I am not much of a person who plans for every single detail but more of a "go with the flow"person. I like being random.

haha growing up sucks. I am a kid stuck in an "old woman's" body. Hmm not that old but yeah. I can be very childish and bratty at times and now your telling me that I have to make decisions *sulks*

Oh well, I am now focusing on self improvement and nothing else. I am trying and improving myself every single day. Imperfections can be mended if you put in enough effort.

I am so gross trying to be motivational and all pfft. -_-"

Oh yes, here comes the fun part. I have to recommend two really good photo applications I found. I absolutely love using them (Lemeleme and Pudding camera). Funny names but their pretty good if you want to add on effects to your photographs. Lemeleme enables you to edit your pictures to HDR versions.

Hmm feels like I have been abandoning my trusty camera for this *Hugs camera*.

Super boring flash programming class. My lecturer's name is Konstantin Pinchuk and he says whatever all the time -_-". Whoops. hehe was on facebook at that time *looks away*

I really can't wait to go home!

I know I'm being a brat but one big reason is that I have such a small space to put on my clothes. arghhhh. I literally have to put them in my luggages and yes I have been living like this for the past1 1/2 years at Little Bourke Street.

Clothes are the biggest part of me and it's important for me to have enough space for them because they deserved to be treated with care.

Hmm well actually, even my shoes and bags doesn't have enough room to breathe :(

Bimbotic post. Judge me and my purchases but I live for these things. So yes, I'm not going to change.

I like the idea of how Teresa Thian put together pieces that relates to weddings (Angels, wings, soft but colourful, silk etc). How pretty! Oh yes, Minz & Ola (Nice accessories), Sasha Rowena (nice bags but you can only get it directly from her shop. Fashion valet only sells small leather items), Sereni and Shentel & Alainn (love their hairbands!), Nurith Harith, Tom Abang Saufi and the list can go on and on. I am almost done with all my assignments. Only 800 words to go and that only takes like an hour because I already did my research earlier on. Doing it tomorrow because I'm exhausted from solving programming codes. I'm proud of myself. Worked my butts off for it since the very beginning of Masters (From not knowing much and being an average student to a much higher grade student). The endless nights I spent solving codes, learning and researching from books and online sources paid off. So yay! (: I'm happyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I can meet people again haha -_-". Well to be honest, I have been avoiding outings, keeping contact and meeting my friends because I needed to focus. Yes I am home almost every single day. Even without assignments, I'm only out at selected days since the beginning of this semester.

Quite sad though. I'm not sure who to call for my Masters final showcase in 2 weeks time. No one to show my work to :( pfft.

Insecurities and being judgemental

I just had the longest conversation on the phone about insecurities and people being judgemental.

SO WHAT?

People are getting so superficial and shallow minded these days to the extend of commenting about how small or big your nose is, how you don't trim your eyebrows etc. People are constantly comparing themselves with one another. Oh come on! Nobody's perfect. Your going to live your live every single day meeting better looking people. Are you going to compare yourselves with everybody out there?

AND PLEASE. You don't go around putting people down to the expense of your own insecurities. So what if she's beautiful, so what if she's rich, so what? . It does not make her a bad person.

It applies to both.

At the end of the day the personality overshadows the outlook.

Even a good looking person can turn ugly. Like for instance, if I have a friend who looks really good but goes around bullying people, making use of them or saying mean stuff about the people around them, I would not think highly of this person.

Also, what is the point of judging people based on how they look. So what if girls puts on make up (You will never know if they have a reason for that like having a serious skin condition (major acne, scars, wrinkles), so what if a person shops for branded goods (It is their money, they do what they want to do if their rich as long as they are humble about it), so what if they like dressing up?

I believe in looking good for your own and people should not be judgemental about that.

Do what you want to do. Be the good person that you can be because at the end of the day, you will feel happy about being a good person.

I am a big fan of deserts, cakes and pastries but that one thing that I exceptionally love are macarons. Have been looking around and trying out different versions from different shops.

Someone haa been sending me pictures of macarons and believe me, I have been craving for them all the time! ughh..

Anyway, finally gotten myself the limited edition Longchamp Darshan bag. Was looking at it for a long time because none of the shops had the bag in short handles. :( How unfortunate. I have been looking at both the Malaysian and Australian market. They have the short ones in yellow but not pink and the lady said that they don't have it in Australia so yes I had to give it up. The long strap is not too bad as well.

I had buffet at Crown with my classmates and boy that place is crazy. I don't really like the idea of eating at places packed with people and I don't really like the pushing but it was really funny because my friend had to finish up like 2 kgs worth of prawns. I only had like 4 pieces. Was really full from lunch.

Felt like a mum shopping for gifts for my kids -____-" . I was out shopping yesterday at Myers and David Jones for my siblings at the kids section. I love the toys section! hmm Yes I'm still a kiddo at heart. I visit Target and their toy sales. Myers is better because they have collector's edition items!

Bought two box of hot wheels products for my brother and one limited edition Hello Kitty monopoly set from there to add on to my collection but I will leave it in the hands of my younger sister since she loves the game and I'm just collecting it. I have a secret obsession towards limited edition monopoly sets :/ . I love looking at them but I'm not allowed to buy too many of them due to the limited space I have here at my apartment. It's going to be hard sending my things back.

Oh yes, that is the nerdy side of mine.

Have been cooking a lot and ordering delivery food lately thanks to assignments. Tahans* I'm this close to finishing everything. Already applied for my graduation ceremony in KL end of his year. I'm getting excited! Second ceremony for me only with a different robe and different certificate

I no longer want to try pleasing everyone any more. What do I get out of this? The more I try to be in the middle and equal, the more I screw things up and get misunderstood. Hate being a middle person but somehow I have a heavy role to play and responsibility every single time.

Being the middle person is not a fun thing and it's immature to even put me as one. I have my own issues to take care of and now I have to take care of other people's issues as well.

Sigh spare me from all the drama.

Anyway, I have never been exactly the most healthy person but at least I know I have my dad and mum to accompany to hospitals and clinics. It feels less scary. Being here and having to go to the doctor alone because I'm unwell. I don't really like that feeling. I have to handle things on my own. Imagine having gastric attacks in the middle of the night all alone. Can't even stand up straight, let alone go to the clinic. So yes, at times like this, I have to sleep through the night even if it's painful. I have friends but I feel less scared with the family. It's a sense of security knowing that they would be there.

In other words, I miss home...

Both Carrie and Charlotte are more of a Chanel and Christian Dior people and I have seen plenty of outfits that I really like! Samantha on the other hand is more of a Fendi and Hermes (Elegant but sexy at the same time), Miranda on the other hand is a mixture.

I love Dior. Their saddle and Lady Dior bags are gorgeous!

I'm more than halfway through my semester. Boy how time flies.

(: Now I'm only left with two final assignments and I am done for Masters and this Semester!

I have been bumming around quite a lot lately thanks to the Easter/mid semester break tsk tsk. Feels quite guilty about it :/ (Plenty of sleeping, tv series and snacking on junkies)

Other than it, I have been exploring places and different restaurants as well. Quite a good experience I must say knowing that I haven't done much of these the past few years and it's my final semester. I am also a big fan of food. So yeah *jumps in joy*

Vue De Monde (The most expensive restaurant I have ever been to here in Melbourne. It's slightly more expensive as compared to Jacques Reymond. Be prepare to splurge but the food is the best of all restaurants!)

I am currently coming up with a new blog skin. This blog template has been with me for many years and I did not know much about java script, flash and cold fusion at that time. haha Purely html but yeah, I'll be changing real soon.

Anyway, I told people like Jon and Lexy that I have already made up my mind on leaving Melbourne for good. Plenty of good memories but not a place for me to stay on for a long period of time.

Call me a brat but I can never get used to waking up and sleeping alone. The loneliness is unbearable knowing that I am so used to having people around me. My friends are all either staying real far away from me (most of them) or they now have their own group of friends. Sounds quite sad but yeah, I can't help things and if those are the friends that goes out of your life, they are not really your true friends. I am saying this because it is only going to get worst since people are all leaving Melbourne for good. This semester is the loneliest that I have been ever since setting foot in Melbourne.

I miss my family and my friends back at home. Certainly miss my own comfort zone.

HAHAHA I had to put this picture up. Reminds me of how me and Sonia used to prank Sze Jia by telling the TGIF people that it's her Birthday when it's not. (The picture below was when we told the waiter that it's "Sally's" birthday hahahaha! )

Big enough reason but I have also thought of my job options and getting a PR here. I'm involved in a highly competitive field. It is going to be difficult in terms of getting a PR and a job as well. Good money but does not mean that everyone is going to be earning good money! Not being negative but just being realistic. I don't want to be doing odd jobs while waiting for my PR and there's no guarantee on getting it.

SO YES I'M LEAVING MELBOURNE FOR GOOD.

I have already booked online for my stuff to be sent back. Yay! Finally I will have more space in my tiny room!

Melbourne taught me plenty of things. I became stronger, learnt how to fend for myself and survive when I'm alone. I guess you can say that I'm a little less shy as compared to what I was. Good times with all the University clubs and friends I have at Melbourne!

There's so many things going on in my head and I would love to write them out but I am absolutely no idea where to start with.

It revolves around my future plans (How I'm saddened by the situation in our country but yet I still feel that it's home.

My parents have been putting quite a huge amount of pressure on me. They are quite bent on the idea of me working and living overseas. I get the logic of how my dad handles his businesses and how much sacrifices he's made just to make sure everything goes through without much difficulty but my mind thinks likewise.), my own issues (my school work, my life and my relationships with people. I won't go much detail into it because it's difficult for me to put everything in words at the moment), and how I should learn how to handle things in a more matured manner and not avoid them.

I have been ordering in quite often lately either because of school work or to catch up with the shows I have missed out on. Thanks to somebody, I get to enjoy all my favourite shows!

Went for one of the shows for the Melbourne Comedy Festival and boy it was pretty good! Enjoyed myself. It's something new for me because I have never been to one besides musicals and film festivals.

I finally got the chance eat at Jacques Reymond last night. It was such a great dinner and is definitely the best that I have ever had at Melbourne. This restaurant is the best in Melbourne and have won quite a number of awards. If you ever have the chance to, it's worth the long wait. Book early because it's full every single week!

My days have been filled with endless amount of assignments. Quite a tiring semester but hopefully I will be able to do good in this. *cross fingers*

It's ironic that a lot of people likes/tend to think of the worst be it a friendship, relationship or just the things that we come across in life.

Not everything/people are that complicated.

Friendships or relationships could be simple too or is it just my wishful thinking?

I may be someone who doesn't talk much but when I'm involved with either one or both, I put all my heart into them sincerely.

I don't believe in making use of people and lying but just friendships or relationships that would make people happy even when they are sad.

I love the people around me and it naturally makes me feel good even when I'm down.

Sometimes, a lot of people just need some space to think about things not having people bombarding them with questions and wanting an explanation of why are they being so emotional about things.

Recently there has been quite a lot going on in my head.

I know what is going on but I just needed some time to think over things and to clear my head a little. It's bad to avoid being in contact with people but I need to get myself back on track.

The more I try to avoid troubles, the more they come to me.

I'm not boasting but thanks to three years my degree, I have the upper hand in this new subject introduced in my course this semester which pretty much is just a quarter of what I have studied before this.

Honestly, I feel like I could possibly be doing plenty of stuff after I complete my Masters since I have the background in IT (Programming, website developing), Multimedia designing, journalism, films, global studies, sociology, media and communication.

haha don't say that I am perasan ok :P. Just having my super energetic and nerdy moments.

I'm getting closer towards achieving what could possibly be the best of all that I have done. 3 years of degree and 1 1/2 years of Masters!

Looks like I have been studying for quite a long time!

I was sceptical at first about doing this due to many factors but now I'm truthfully happy with my decision back then.

Tough final semester but I will persevere!

Not sure where do I start but I'm quite disappointed at the fact that I am constantly pressured and forced to do things that I might feel uncomfortable with doing.

I get the part that people around me are just concerned about my well being but sometimes it's better to just let me make my own decisions.

If wrong decisions were made, I will bear the consequences.

I do not need people to tell me what is good for me, control me, make decisions for me and talk behind my back.

How old am I anyway?

Greetings from Melbourne!

Getting used to coming back here again : The food, weather (I wore shorts last night and it was too cold -_-), walking to places, buying groceries (lol! which I don't even have to do back at Malaysia) and the little space I have at my place.

All is good but I'm not really looking forward for class this Thursday. Need more motivation to start studying again.

I already miss all of you back at home!

Anyway, I had possibly the worst flight ever! Sat next to this crazy guy who talks to himself and randomly shouts out loud in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. Literally jumped out of my seat. He even have the audacity to take my pen and food menu without asking me. How rude!

All for acceptance? Sometimes I wonder why human confidence can be so fragile. It does not remain constant at all times.

On a different note, I am finally done with all the packing. All set to fly back to Melbourne so I could complete something that would make me so proud of myself (: . I have definitely learnt a lot living alone. Well of course there are still room for improvements (Have to be more confident and less shy, improve further on sense of directions, learn how to do things on my own etc).

Four months passed by so quickly. I had so much of fun during the holidays!

Thank you for making my holidays a great one and I shall see you guys again real soon!

I notice that I have this really bad habit of not being able to easily let go of things. If I could, it would have been much better.

hmm Yeap. I got tired of all the travelling. I'm now focusing on getting ready to fly back. I have had enough of fun. Oh yes I certainly did with all the crazy nights of partying, house parties, movies, shopping, eating and hanging out with my close friends in Malaysia!

What more could I have asked for?

2011 have been treating me well so far and I'm hoping that it shall remain the way it is.

All I can think of is to complete my Masters program and we shall see where I would be staying or what I will be doing after that.

My mum has been trying very hard to convince me in getting a PR and working in Melbourne ever since I set foot back in Malaysia but honestly, it is a tough decision to make.

I get the logic that the political condition in our country is getting really bad but deep inside, a part of me still wants to be here because it's still home after all.

Having a better future and making more money outside?

It does not completely bring happiness. Yes, no??

On the other hand, I do personally feel pretty comfortable with living in Melbourne as well. Other than the fact that not everyone is going to be by my side if I had made the decision to stay.

ahhh tough choice!

70 % of my heart pretty obviously wants to work in Malaysia but it's not that simple.

Do I take what people want from me into consideration?

I am currently bored while waiting for Szejia to come to my place so we could get some card making and gifts wrapping done.

Yeap. Christmas is a pretty big deal for me and my family. We spend every Christmas with the usual home cooked dinner and going to church. This year would be slightly different because I'm celebrating with my Grandmother and grandfather at KL. We all of our gifts sorted out. Every members of the family have at least a gift each. (: I'm getting all excited.

New year's resolution

hmm ok another super dee duper long hiatus. I haven't had much to write about besides those usual emo posts. But today's different because I'm writing down my new year's resolution.

*leaving all the Christmas presents that needs to be wrapped aside for the moment*

I'm getting excited for the upcoming new year simply because 2010 have been lets just say not a very good year for me and a couple of my friends. It was filled with breakups, heartaches, bad lucks and the many bad incidents that happened. I pray for a better year.

So here goes:

1: Masters certificate.

I would really love to graduate with good results. This means a lot to me.

2: Get a good job after graduation.

I can't wait to get into the working world. The studying stops there because I have been doing it for far too long.

3: Keep myself healthy and well maintained.

I should at least try to maintain a healthy lifestyle knowing that I have not been taking good care of myself. Hence, all the unwanted problems. (Self inflicted boy oh boy -_-)

4: Remain glam hahaha *perasan*

yes Who cares about being emotional and all that crap. Imma focus on looking good and having more confidence!

5: Spend less on shopping and entertainment.

I (pretty obviously) know that I have been spending far too much on shopping and entertainment. Therefore, I shall cut down on that!

6: Avoid being a drama queen, be less stubborn and less emotional.

haha I have the tendency to wallow in self pity -_- and act like as though my life is miserable BUT NO MY LIFE IS NOT. IN FACT, I HAVE A GREAT ONE! So no more being dramatic!

7: I want to be a better person.

-_- Not that I am a super bad one but probably improve myself!

8: Spend as much time as I can with close ones.

This is on my list every single year and it still will be. I love being around them!

9: Learn more on investing and read more on financial news!

This is a must!

That is basically the things that I can think of so far. I'll add on more if I have more!

It's either I'm away from home where I might not have access to the internet or I'm just lazy and bumming around the house (Don't really have much of the mood to blog considering the fact that I blog very often when I'm in Melbourne pfft).

I am super bored right now (Siblings are beside me watching Hercules on Disney -_-)

It's either I'm going to apply for a part time job for the fun of it to kill time or go for some random class such as baking or guitar (Desperate measures haha -_-). I really need to! Feels like I'm wasting a lot of time. I mean how often can I go out shopping, partying and all the other entertainment activities? It gets really boring after doing the same thing far too many times.

Had a pleasant flight last night. Stayed up late with my baby brother. Accompanied him the whole night and he slept with me. How cute!

Thankfully the weather is not too hot. Bearable. Looking forward for more.

I'm going to miss Melbourne people though. haha! I'm such a sentimental person when it comes to friendship. If only I could bring everyone with me no matter where I'll be or go. That would be really awesome.

Who else in the world would do this for me.

She waited for me to finish up my assignment.

I was so stressed at that moment because I had to a major responsibility to hand up one of the most important assignment of my Masters program which determines if I could do well this semester.

There she was on skype with me giving me advices on how I could do better. I sent her samples of my assignment over and over again. The connection was hell slow but she patiently waited for them to get through despite not having anything to eat that whole day.

Asked her to head out and have her late dinner, but she refused to until my file was sent and she can have a look at it.

Yesterday she did it again. We talked on the phone this time round because I was feeling down after knowing that fact that I am once again living alone next semester because my friend pulled out last minute.

She made me feel better.

Ah yes.

I'm talking about sisterly love here.

It used to be little Karina enjoying Birthday parties but as she grows older, what she really loves is to just have that hug, phone calls and wishes from her family and close friends.

My Birthdays for every single year have been great and I'm thankful for that because of the people who took part in them.

This year was no exception! All I did was to wait for that phone call from my Family and my buddies back in Malaysia who never fails to wish me on time every single year.

Those calls were enough to make me a very happy girl despite me having my assignment and exam paper to worry about. In fact, it gave me more motivation to finish up just so I could celebrate with them back at home.

I have been pretty busy lately trying to complete my animation project and studying for my paper at the same time ):

Ah yes. What to do. Student's life.

I will never ever think of pursuing a PHD after finishing my Masters! eww the thought of studying, burning midnight oil and the endless amount of writing/research is enough to put me off the idea.

It's also about time that I start the next chapter of my life. That is to get a job and earn my own income.

The painful process I have to go through. Oh well. Hope it's worth it!

I'm quite annoyed by the fact that I get stomach discomfort all the time! It just happened again after my pampering session.

Whoa! This blog has been with me through my ups and downs. It's the longest and the most consistent blog I ever had. My old blogs are all immature crap *laughs*

Unfortunately it's not a space where I could just sincerely write out my thoughts without having to think of the consequences and how people would feel. It would have been better if I had made it a more private blog to even begin with.

It's a little too late I guess.

Have been pretty bothered lately with my studies and the fact that I hang out with too many judgemental people.

I can't do something that I do not really like. It's more of forcing myself to do it.

As for the judgemental part, I know better than anyone when it comes to my own life. Nobody have the rights to judge the way I live, the people I hang out with or what I do. I know what is going on in my mind although I do not act them out in public. It gets so frustrating because people can only see so much from the outlook and not what is within.

It might not be how it looks like.

I had my first early birthday dinner at The Italian. The ambience was pretty good. The food was just hmm how do I say this. "Ok" I guess. I have very high standard when it comes to eating steak. Ordered rib eye. The portion was way too big and it was a little too salty for my liking. Other than that, everything was pretty much good!

Oh well, what matter the most is the company. This group consists of the people I'm close to at Melbourne (:

Went back to Uni the next day to finish up the final editing for our short film. It's done!

Many would have known that I'm very picky when it comes to having my food. I dislike food being too salty, sweet or shops estimating food portions wrongly.

Hmm well, other than that, I basically enjoy my food as my father would say. Hence, I'm constantly the "tong sampah" of the family. I can eat well at every single meal of the day.

I am such a glutton.

I have a couple of pictures to post out before heading out for dinner with my friend's family at Lygon Street. It was quite a random decision but yeah. Why not? since I'm invited to tag along. Then it's back to working on my final assignments. The holidays feels so far away but I'm persevering because I think that doing Masters was a great decision in terms of job wise in the near future. I changed for the better as well.

): Malaysia is currently one level above Singapore in the Commonwealth Games Medal Tally with 7 gold medals each. Quite scary because Singapore is in all the table tennis finals with their amazing China born players. Malaysia on the other hand only have the chance in Badminton and Lawn bowl at the moment. Lucky for the 4 finals tomorrow. I'm quite scared though. *Cross fingers.

): I have been pretty busy lately with all the assignments, cleaning, packing and friends birthdays.

Always ended up saving the drafts and it becomes outdated after a while. pfft. Hence, the crazy amount of drafts that I have saved under my account.

Anyway, I have been thinking a lot lately about my plans next year and what is going to happen after I graduate from my Masters program.

So here is the grand plan and hopefully it works out for me:

I will be applying to get a graduate visa but it does not mean that I will stay for 1 1/2 years here in Melbourne. I am just doing it for the sake of having a back up plan. Will stay in Melbourne until the end of next year for my graduation ceremony and to work for a couple of months. Most probably will go back to Malaysia for good after that (Unless something big (life changing haha) happens: like I got married to some Aussie dude or someone with an Australian PR: OR I Change my mind because I can see a better future here).

So that is my plan. I know that I'm supposed to be back immediately after finishing my Masters but a part of me wants to find out if there is something for me to look forward to here in Australia (most probably a good job! ). I need some time to think about things after graduating because for now, it feels like I don't know what to expect.

Who does not want a good job with a better pay after all?

I have been quite bothered and upset because of the way on how certain people treat their friendship.

Honesty really is important in this sense.

I've been fooled around for my sincerity and my effort in wanting to keep a friendship for a long period of time. Making use of me only shows the selfish behaviour anyone could have.

At times like this, I really wish people could for once stand in my position and think.

I fell sick but still try to accommodate my friends so I have enough time for their birthdays and planned outings.

My throat hurts so bad because of the swollen tonsil inside, I lost my voice for some , stupid cough and my stomach have been giving me so much of crap. It's such a crappy week for me.

I don't have any days of people not making fun of my voice when I try to talk. I'm trying to talk when it's really swollen inside.

I went to sing k today because I promised a friend that I would to make up the minimum number of people required in a room and my throat got worst.

Luckily for people who bother to ask and help me. Thank you Jason, Alva and Ching Yee for the difflam lozenges, hot honey and chrysanthemum drink.

I miss Booger so much because she's always there before this.

I finally had the time to rest! Finished my final assignment of the week. Although there will be more coming in after my mid semester break, I'm not thinking about it just yet. haha *Jumps around the room* yay! I'm excited. Just woke up from the longest nap ever after having lunch with my lovelies from uni (: . It has been a routine every single week that I spend time with them and I'm quite glad to have them around because there's no one else would would sit down at Starbucks and have green tea frappucino with me besides Lisa pfft. Violet's awesome as well.

I had cravings for Malaysian/Indonesian food recently (I have cravings all the time and no one can escape that taste of home). Bought nasi goreng, keropok and plenty of other stuff to satisfy my cravings. mmmmm good stuff !

I had this talk with Alex a few days back on how I'm worrying about things and people but he managed to make me feel better and not to mention tagged me in one of my unglamorous pictures that shows a seemingly possessed Curryna.

Can't blame me just by looking at the fact that I am constantly protected by my parents and every single thing that I do are done for people. I'm the kid at home who listens to my mum and dad in every single decision that I make or at least I take them into consideration. I do things that my parents wants me to do. I have and do the responsibilities at home, I have their trust in my results and they never question me in them. I am afraid of not getting good grades. Therefore, I tend to work off my butts just to I could maintain my grades but it got me thinking that I constantly harm my health by the insane amount of worries and stress.

It scares me if I can't live up to standards or just be that person (hmm expectations.. a lot of them).

Hence, all the sickness came from there. It does not only involves my studies but my surrounding as well.

I'm not saying that I have some terminal disease or something *touch wood* choi! but more like I fall sick so easily and it takes really long for me to heal. ):

haha my dad told me to take it easy because I'm just putting unnecessary stress on myself.

I'm such an insecure stinky poo pfft.

Booked my flight to get back home on 5th November. I'm waiting for that day to come! No more bao ka liao baju hahaha (Sorry. Not a winter person).

Selfless

Sometimes I really wonder how love can make people so selfless and sacrifice so much. Is it mainly because the fact that "love" does not exist but the fear of losing someone to depend on, the yearn for companionship and social constructions?

It really makes me wonder and angry at the same time because for this so called "love", people ended up hurting themselves and losing their confidence in so many things that they do. I don't like seeing the people around me getting hurt or putting themselves in positions that makes them look vulnerable.

I tell all my fellow girlfriends that girls should be strong and have dignity. We must not look ugly or act anyhow vulnerable for a guy who doesn't know how to treat us right. Same goes to guys who meets the wrong girls.

BUT is it really all that simple?

I just finished designing my Ipad magazine application content. Put on my facial mask while drinking a glass of honey drink mmm. This is life! Oh yeah. Did I mention that I have less work for the next one week and the mid semester. Boy oh boy how excited I am to just take a whole week off and do something relaxing like travel to places I have never been in Melbourne, sit down and finish up my Paolo Coelho novel, do some shopping, bake cupcakes, watch some good films and hang out with some friends. (:

AND I still want my rendang!

My hands and feet looks horrible right now all thanks to the video shoot at Philip Island. The itch from all the mosquitoes bites does not want to go away and it's all red and sore now from all my scratchings. Hate the feeling of itch pfft. Hope no one would notice them *hides*

On an unrelated note, I went for the Chadstone VIP sales yet again this semester. My my I'm such a shopaholic. I'm having my "confession of the shopaholic moments" nooooo. All the unintentional spendings haha. It feels good but yet bad at the same time.

I'm glad that we'll always have each other through all life experiences be it obstacles or happy events. We have always been so close since we were little and I thank God for that and the family.

hehe it's funny because we held each other's hands all the time in every picture we took when we we're little starting from our "mangkuk" hair days (mum used to cut our hair using a bowl)

I love days of:

our performances when we learnt how to play the organ and piano, when we travel around, when we play our favourite cooking games (rojak biscuits-_-" haha!), our spice girls/backstreet boys dancing group dancing days, watching shows and tv series together, shopping together, tasting out food together, play dress up, when you helped me with my make up during my first prom... The list goes on and on.

I love the fact that:

You love Britney Spears and Sex and the city as much as I do, you listen to me when I needed someone to be there, you take care of me and always look after my feelings, you laugh at me even when I'm being silly, you kicking my butt when I'm carrying my milo, you saying that the food I cooked is tasty, you doing your baby voices (nyamy nyamy hahaha!), you acting crazy, you in your bedak sejuk every night before we sleep

AND

most importantly, you being you.
