Lol I'm strolling down memory lane today. It all started when my mum went to find vintage stuff among her 10000 items in her room for me -_-. haha my mum is so cute. I was telling her on how those vintage high waisted pants, loose shirts, and old bags are coming back in fashion and she imediately went in her room to find those stuff and gave them to me :D. yay! I now own plenty of vintage items.
hehe After all the vintage crap, I shall be looking back at the 1990s.
Those days were filled with fantasies, Barbie dolls, polly pockets, cartoons and floral dresses.
Looking back at 1990s, it reminds me of Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Christina aguilera,Backstreet boys, NSYNC (My favorite band of all time!)
HAHA! I had this fight with my sister over Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. I'm not going to deny that I used to be a big fan of Britney Spears (and I still am). It isn't about how well she could sing but the fact that shes a fantastic dancer and she was the girl next door that everyone wanted to be. Dancing to me was like my favorite hobby ever and her songs (trashy or not. Shes one of those artists that has multiple hits people will never get sick of and would dance to).
Ps: My sister became in love with Britney spears after that -_- and I don't dislike Christina aguilera (Shes a fantastic singer!)
Dancing and performing was one of the things that I really loved doing. lol It started out with a random Backstreet boys performance (me, Selina and Denise) at my mum's function. We ended up forming this dancing group and performed at almost all my mum's function. I then joined this dance club at my old chinese primary school (舞蹈) -_- Had the toughest time because we were required to bend all parts of our body. Me and my sister were in ballet lessons throughout our childhood but stopped after a while (can't remember why). I think it was because we had too many other forms of lessons on hand. haha So anyway, there we were (our so called "spice girls" dance group. I forbid you to laugh at me hmmph :P).
hahahahaha! Selina was sporty spice, Denise was baby spice and I was posh spice.
It was the best moments of my life la. Dancing is like my very own way of expressing myself better. It was this dance group that inspired me further to join more dance clubs throughout my primary, secondary, highschool, college and university life.
Anyway, at that time, I won't deny that I was one of those typical girls who were in love with barbies and polly pockets-_- (yeah I know. Boo to me. I was very much into what the toys market had to offer. Being very ignorant of the evil capitalist market sucking our parent's money). Oh well, I find barbies super scary looking now-_- for some reason and I can't really explain why I liked them so much at one point of my life.. ewwwww.. My very first polly pocket on the other hand got stolen by my kindergarden classmates *pftt (Something that I'll never forget).
Sigh not forgetting those floral and lacey dresses -_-. Once again, I'm one of those typical girls who loves those dresses. (BOOO .)
Television:
hmm I was one of those kids who watches too much of television programs. Hence, the glasses-_-. I had my own days of rugrats, clarissa speaks, captain planet, care bears, rocko's modern life, disney shows/movies, Winnie the pooh, power ranger-_-, Kenan and kel, haha erm I do watch the chinese version of Ranma and capcaptor sakura, and so so so so many more.
I play masak masak, batu seremban, congkak, the super old gameboy series (huge and looks like bricks, Me and my sister (selina) were in love with those science chemistry sets and astronomy stuff they sell at toy-s'rus (haha so geeky!), we were in love with puzzle bubble and 'xena the warrior princess) on our play station.
I had my days of having crushes on boys-_- hehehehe. I had this chilhood sweetheart -_- (my parent's good friend's son) They used to say that we're gonna get married when we grow up. HAHAHAHA! (pftt*). I'm pretty sure that all of your parents have once set you up with one of their best friend's son/daughter. lol me and Selina get that all the time -_-. I got my first love letter hehehehe when I was at primary 2 or 3-_- from this boy who just shifted to my school. It was so funny at that time. My daddy was furious -_-! because I showed him the letter.
-_- I must have been bored that I typed this post. There you go ! (: My childhood.
