I'm more than halfway through my semester. Boy how time flies.
(: Now I'm only left with two final assignments and I am done for Masters and this Semester!
I have been bumming around quite a lot lately thanks to the Easter/mid semester break tsk tsk. Feels quite guilty about it :/ (Plenty of sleeping, tv series and snacking on junkies)
Other than it, I have been exploring places and different restaurants as well. Quite a good experience I must say knowing that I haven't done much of these the past few years and it's my final semester. I am also a big fan of food. So yeah *jumps in joy*
Adding on to the list of restaurants from "The Age Good Food Guide 2011":
I have already tried food from both Melbourne's top and 3 hats restaurants, Jacques Reymond (Blogged about this place before this) and Vue De Monde.
(Most of the pictures are taken with my phone. Most of the pictures are quite blur. Quite unglam to carry around a big camera)
Vue De Monde (The most expensive restaurant I have ever been to here in Melbourne. It's slightly more expensive as compared to Jacques Reymond. Be prepare to splurge but the food is the best of all restaurants!)
Awesome starters and champagne!
Tomato, celery, goat’s cheese, chamomile
Marron on a hot river stone, spanner crab sandwich, brown butter emulsion (I love this very much!! Such a great seafood dish)
Fried duck egg, lamb sweetbreads, pickled onion, truffle (I love this as well! )
Salted cod, beetroot, smoked bone marrow
Cucumber sorbet, elderflower granite, frozen lime
rouper, pork fat, spiced pear
Kangaroo, cabbage, blackberry (Best dish of the night! )
